Ceramic IR rejects up to 95% of infrared heat, Color Stable 57%, and Obsidian 41%. Total Solar Energy Rejection reaches up to 57%.

UV Protection

Blocks 99–99.9% of UV rays, protecting leather, upholstery, and your dashboard from fading and cracking.

Privacy & Security

Darker VLT options hide valuables from view and help deter break-ins.

Signal-Friendly

All 3M automotive films are non-metalized — no interference with GPS, cell, satellite radio, or keyless entry.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does installation take?

A full-vehicle tint typically takes 2–4 hours. Front doors only can be completed in 45–60 minutes. Appointments include a brief inspection and quality check.

How long until my tint is fully cured?

Automotive films take 3-5 days on average to cure, weather dependent. Residential and Commercial take 30-60 days on average to cure, film dependent.

Is window tint legal in my state?

Tint laws vary by state and specify a minimum Visible Light Transmission (VLT) — the percentage of visible light allowed through the film plus the glass. We'll help you choose a VLT-compliant film for your state.

Will tint interfere with my GPS, cell, or keyless entry?

No. All 3M automotive films are non-metalized, so they don't block GPS, cellular, satellite radio, or keyless-entry signals.

How do I care for my new tint?

After the film has fully cured, use ammonia-free cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. No abrasives.

What makes 3M different from other window films?

3M invented window film in 1966 and holds 100+ patents. 3M's premium films are non-metalized (no signal interference), color-stable, and backed by a nationwide manufacturer's lifetime warranty.

What's the difference between Ceramic IR, Color Stable, and Obsidian?

Ceramic IR (up to 95% IR rejection, premium nano-ceramic, top tier); Color Stable (up to 57% IR rejection, nano-carbon, non-purpling, mid tier); Obsidian (up to 41% IR rejection, entry-level, lifetime warranty). Our automotive lineup is exactly these three tiers.

Can window film be removed?

Yes, professionally. We do not recommend DIY removal.

What exactly does the warranty cover?

3M's nationwide manufacturer's lifetime warranty covers bubbling, peeling, cracking, delamination, and color change — and it's honored at any 3M Authorized Dealer nationwide, not just us.
